Interior Noise
No matter what you think of the Cayenne’s styling, it’s good at cutting through the air. The slick shape keeps noise levels to a minimum, with only some wind flutter around the outside mirrors at higher (80-plus mph) speeds. Tire noise doesn’t intrude either, although we wonder if the same would be true for the optional wider, higher-performance 20-inchers. The noises you do hear are the ones you want: The big V-8 engine roaring to life when you start it, and when you mash the throttle to the floor.
